lighted candles are gradually extinguished as a

reminder of the darkness that came upon the earth

during the crucifixion of Jesus.

This extinguishing of the candles represents the

eliminating of all aspects of the "mis-use" of the

Twelve Powers of the "Christ-within" each of us.

First Sunday Reiki Blessing

Give yourself a wonderful gift.  Come and receive a Reiki Blessing every first Sunday of the month in the Silent Unity Chapel. The minimum time for seated Reiki is ten minutes and Reiki practitioners will be available to answer questions.  The Reiki schedule is available in the Fellowship Hall lobby.

Friday, April 16th at 7:30 pm

An innovative service of prayer and song, called a “Taize” will be  held at Unity.  The service will include candlelight, prayers, meditation, readings, soft music, and chants. 

This form of worship  originated in an ecumenical community in Taize, France, in the 1930’s.  The service will be very meditative but, unlike our “Silent Unity” services, the meditation, spoken prayers, and readings will be interspersed with chanting by the congregation.

The originator of Taize services said:  “To open the gates of trust in God, nothing can replace the beauty of human voices united in song.  This beauty can give us a glimpse of heaven’s joy on earth…and helps the inner life to blossom within us.”
